The Furminator never work well, but it is extremely difficult into use personally in a Husky.Ich think are the three things you need: 1) a Harke2) a slicker brush SOFT (there is one at www.k9rawdiet.com) 3) a very good dog hair dryer change now, so I feel your pain! With the dog dryer (human hair dryers are never strong enough) really blow a lot of fur coats & the dead will be as you have on the dryer, you can use the rake & slicker, the dead hair out. This is really much faster than Kämmen. In line into the house, get Roomba. You must remove the fur from the brush often, but it will help enormously, with all the hair in the house. Pick-up the big fur balls by hand, then let the Roomba never be Ding.Viel luck!

Undercoat rake.
EDIT>>
No you never have a double coated dog shaved doing so will cause permanent coat damage..
Take your dog to a groomer have him bathed and a good coat blow out and brush, never shave a husky..

I have a german shepherd/malamute mix who sheds alot and I got a Furminator and I love it. It really does cut down on the shedding and I have noticed a lot less fur laying around. I am really glad I got one of these.

do you have any family ? my nieces come over and they love love love to brush my dogs. Or neighborhood kids ?
I know a couple of disabled people in our neighborhood, and we walk their dogs for them, and brush them on a daily basis. =]
i’m sure you have nice bored animal loving kids in the neighborhood. Just make sure they are trustable, and love animals. and older kids.

furminator is the greatest thing EVER!
I have one for my cats and my husky.
They’re a little on the expensive side but worth every penny.
