if you are cutting just with a blade I suggest use a 7 blade there is nothing wrong with a 10 but it cuts very close . For the tail and the topnotch you can use shears. If you like you can use a snap on blade for the the topnotch however with a snap on blade you should always use a #30 blade to get a nice even cut .

I like to know what type of thinning shears to buy for toy poodles. there are some with 20some odd teeth all the way to 40 some teeth. What is the correct one to buy for toy poodles
